Hôtel Atypiq

The rooms have very little space. Taking this into account, a lot of work has been done to make the amenities complete. For example, the bed comfortably and easily rises to the ceiling, freeing up space in the center of the room. The sink is installed in the room because there is not enough space in the bathroom. Overall, the functionality of the hotel room is good, despite the fact that there is very little space. But I would like to note one point that is not correct in my opinion. The fact is that when you book a hotel on the website, it doesn’t say anywhere that the room and bathroom are very small. Information about this begins to reach the client after the room has already been booked and paid for. I believe that this is not very correct and it is better to tell the client about this before ordering. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at the hotel, thank you!

Location of the hotel is perfect and in the middle of the old Quebec, only a few minutes walk to all sightseeings and tourist attractions. Staff is nice and helpful. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. We didn’t have a good sleep. Bed has no mattress cover. Duvet and pillows needs to be washed as it had a bad smell even through the linen sheets - mixed of all odours from previous people. It definitely felt icky sleeping in. The room itself needs a deep clean - you can see all the debris in the shower, toilet, bed frame gaps and corners that was not clean in a long time. At night time you have all weird noises coming from the bathroom drain that it was disturbing. The booking says that breakfast is included but it isn’t clear enough as you have to cook it yourself and wash dishes too. Would not recommend this hotel for a couple, only for solo young traveler. There are many other better hotels in the area for just a little more money

At the checking they requested an additional tax that wasn't in the booking. The coffee machine didn't work several times. The firepit didn't work in the first day. Some dishes was dirty. The bedroom wasn't cleaned any day. The self serve breakfast was convenient, there were games available in the common area and complimentary marshmallows. Would go back? Probably not. (Still waiting for the refund of the $150 tax they held on my credit card)

Nice and functional minimalist hotel. Awesome neighborhood in the heart of Old Québec. Perfect for singles who basically needs "a bed" at an affordable price. Common kitchen is clean and functionnal and fun, its has that Youth Hostel for grown-ups ambiance I really liked. Bed lifting mechanism is a bit noisy, and you may hear other rooms.

I enjoyed my stay at Hôtel AtypiQ. The staff was friendly especially Tommy (who worked on the overnight shift). He came to my rescue when something overflowed in the bathroom and was not only super fast but beyond helpful. As a solo traveler the space of the room was enough for one person. Also didn't mind making my own breakfast in the morning.

It's a great property. Stayed on more than 1 occasion. Took a minute to get used to the size of the room, but the room has everything you need. The kitchen facility is immaculate and has even more than you need. Great roof top. Fantastic amenities. Really nice aesthetics. Love the shower. The location is exactly where I like to be...close to restaurants and shops. Will stay again.

This hotel was lovely - very, very pleasant and friendly staff who were responsive and helpful throughout the 3-day stay. My only word of caution would be that the room (was in 220) was *very* small - with 2 people, there is nowhere to sit when the bed is down and the bench is being used for a suitcase or laptop bag...there is literally no chair in the room, as well as no closet or anything to hang clothes on other than a small handful of pegs in the wall. From a design perspective, it's also nice having the sink in with the toilet & shower...which is not the case in this instance. Choose this delightful hotel for the staff, the location and the price - yo can walk everywhere in Old Quebec City from here, and stop in to change clothes, drop things off, etc. With the $$$ you'll save on accommodations, you can enjoy your dining and excursions, plus pick up a few souvenirs of your time in this incredible, amazing city.
